Academic Support

When you succeed, we all succeed. That’s because the world needs you, your talents and your potential now more than ever. At PBA, you’ll find academic support services and programs designed to help you succeed in your work, make the most of your experience and realize all of your God-given potential.

Peer Tutoring

Peer Tutoring offers a unique form of academic support to students. A fellow PBA student, who has been carefully recommended by the faculty, will work closely with you. These sessions happen in a small group format, are accessible to PBA students, don’t require scheduled appointments and will provide you with the academic assistance you need in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. Some of the subject areas include:

  • Math
  • Science
  • Hebrew
  • Greek
  • Nursing
  • Spanish

Academic enrichment workshops

Academic enrichment workshops will help you identify how you learn best, adopt critical thinking skills and explore a variety of other issues related to enhancing your academic experience. These 50-minute, faculty-led sessions happen during the third and 11th weeks of the fall semester. Each workshop focuses on a different topic—which could be anything from learning strategies to college etiquette to leading by example—and provide excellent learning outlets for all students.

Online tutorial support

If you cannot access our on-campus peer tutoring services, you can take part in free, live, online tutorial support through Tutor.com. With sessions available 24/7, Tutor.com features tutors in math, science, Spanish, finance, accounting, and other subjects. And you’ll get the same personalized assistance in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.

All currently enrolled PBA students receive 5 hours of free tutoring per term. Reach out to the PBA eLearning team for additional online tutoring hours and/or assistance with online tutoring by emailing onlinehelp@und-ich.com or calling 561-803-2283

Academic coaching

Academic coaching provides an individualized forum for you to explore strategies to succeed in the classroom. Coaching sessions take place weekly, are free and will be tailored specifically to your needs—from reducing distractions to setting attainable goals to developing techniques for satisfying curriculum requirements to creating a plan for success.
